Противно на написаното в Стария Завет за змиите, Исус ни казва да бъдем разумни като змиите.

С какво змията е разумна и следва ли да приемем, че тя е извършила добро и разумно дело като е дала плода на познанието на Адам и Ева?

... в древността змията никога не е била символ на лошото, дори напротив - на мъдрост, мъжка сила, връзка с отвъдното (тоест пак познание), безсмъртие и т. н. Едва авраамическите религии я натоварват с тази негативна семантика. И сега като се замислям, се чудя що точно змията, аджеба, е избрана за животното, подаващо плода на познанието на Адам и Ева. А може би става въпрос за неправилно тълкувание... Интересен въпрос!
